Privacy Policy
Effective October 18, 2026
Roundup is a weekly game you play in an iMessage group chat. This policy says what Roundup keeps about you, why, and how to delete it. In short: we keep only what the game needs, we don’t show ads, we don’t track you, and we don’t sell anything about you.
What we collect
- Your Apple sign-in. You sign in with Apple. We get an ID that Apple makes for Roundup, which isn’t your Apple ID. We don’t ask Apple for your email. If you sign in on a device, Apple may share your first name once so we can suggest it as your player name.
- Your player name. The name you choose to show to your group.
- What you play. The groups you’re in, the prompts you send or write, your answers, votes and guesses, and the scores and streaks that come from them.
- Safety reports and blocks. If you report an answer or block someone, we keep that report or block.
- A token from Apple. Apple gives us a token when you sign in. We use it only to cancel Roundup’s access to your Apple account when you delete your account.
- Purchases. If you buy Superlatives, Apple sends us a signed receipt. We keep the transaction ID, the date and whether it was refunded, so we know the unlock is yours. Apple handles the payment, and we never see your card or Apple ID.
- A notification token. If you allow notifications, Apple gives us a token for your phone so we can tell you when a round opens or the reveal is ready. Deleting your account removes it.
We don’t collect your contacts, your messages, your location, your photos, or anything else from your phone. Roundup can’t read your chat. It only sees what you type into Roundup.
How we use it
Only to run the game: to show your group the week’s prompt, collect answers and votes, keep names hidden until the reveal, work out scores, streaks and standings, and act on safety reports. We don’t use it for ads, and we don’t share it with advertisers or data brokers.
Who sees what
- People in your Roundup group see your player name, and your answers once a round is revealed. During a round, answers show with no names.
- Your group sees vote results, scores, streaks and standings.
- People outside your group see nothing.
Who helps us run Roundup
Roundup’s data is stored with Supabase, in the United States. Sign-in and payments are handled by Apple. They process data only to provide these services.
How long we keep it, and deleting it
We keep your data while you have an account. You can delete your account any time in Roundup: open Settings, then tap Delete my account. This removes your account and your Apple sign-in, takes you out of every group, and cancels Roundup’s access to your Apple account. Answers you already gave stay in your groups’ past rounds under the name “Deleted player” so the game history still makes sense. If you’d like those removed too, email us. Deleting your account also removes our record of your purchase; your purchase stays with Apple, so tap Restore purchase if you sign up again.
You can also stop Roundup from using your Apple ID in your iPhone’s Settings: tap your name, then Sign in with Apple.
Children
Roundup isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect data from them. If you think a child under 13 is using Roundup, email us and we’ll delete the account.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see, correct, export or delete your data, or to object to how we use it. Email us and we’ll help, usually within 30 days.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. If a change matters, we’ll say so in the app.
